Date de parution

On December first, Sabine Kröger, professor in the Department of Economics at Laval University and member of the DEPPI research project, participated in a roundtable on a new planned accessibility legislation. The purpose of this new planned legislation is to promote equality of opportunity and, at the same time, increase the inclusion of Canadians who have disabilities.

The roundtable of December first was chaired by the Minister of Sport and people with Disabilities Carla Qualtrough. There were also several representatives from both levels of government, representatives of non-profit organizations and researchers. This roundtable was about the cultural aspect of the new planned legislation.

We invite you to take a look at the new planned legislation and the consultation across Canada at the following address: Consulting with Canadians on accessibility legislation .
