Labour Supply and Subjective Employability Expectations of People with Disabilities

Author(s)
Dave Corbin

This thesis aims to study the relationship between subjective employability expectations and labour supply decisions as well as their effect on employment. The analysis will begin with a dissection of relevant concepts and a comprehensive literature review. We will then present the DEPPI’s survey of subjective employment expectations which collects the perceptions of people with a disability relating to their short-term future. Various statistical tests will be used to evaluate the relationship. Finally, public policy solutions will be explored.

Forthcoming publication.
